Week #2-Workout #2

First of all I must say...Mudmasks are great! They clean your pores, remove oil and make your skin feel soft.
(plus they make you very pretty)

This morning I went to the gym before work. I really need to make this a side goal...Wake up early enough to go to the gym in the morning. There are less people, I have more energy during the day and I don't feel the pressure of making time in the evening.

Workout #2-Friday (8:30am)
--Treadmill-Quick walk-Jog/ Hill Incline .2-6/2.39miles/ 45minutes/ Speed 3.2-4.2
--Weights- Stomach/ Back
Total time= 1 hour 15 minutes

Week #2-Workout #1

This is what Seattle has looked like for the last week. The sky is so blue. Everything is green. Mt. Rainier peeking out of the clouds.

It's so funny to hear everyone complain that it's soooo hot! The hottest day this week was Monday...It was 89 degrees in downtown Seattle.

But heat or no heat...I'm getting into my gym routine for the week. I took Monday off so I could hang out with Scott all day. Tuesday was my meeting day so...Here is my first workout for this week.

Workout #1-Wednesday (6:30pm)
---Elip.-Jog-Run/Hill Incline 2-16/ 3.8miles/ 45minutes/ Intensity 6-8
---Weights- Back/Shoulders
Total=1 hour 15 minutes

Week #1- Workout #3

I had some very strange dreams this morning. I slept through my alarm for more than 20 minutes too! I woke up with the same headache I had yesterday too!! So-I got a late start to the gym.

I went light today since I intend on doing a long, hard workout tomorrow.

Workout #3-Friday (8:30am)
---Elip.-Quick Walk-Run/Hill Incline 2-16/ 2.45miles/ 30minutes/ Intensity 6-7

Week #1- Walk Day #2

I was not feeling well today so I took a day off from the gym. I went for a 30 minute walk instead. I think I'll go to bed early tonight.

Scott Logic 101

Scott is in the kitchen examining the eggs...The date on the eggs is past. He asks me if they are still good. I say sure...Why not? Right? What the heck do I know about eggs. I then tell him that eggs smell bad when they get old. So he smells them...For a long while. Then he decides that they do not smell. (At one point he angrily announces that he can't smell anything from the eggs and believes this may be due to their shells.)

After all of this he begins cooking the eggs. As he's cooking he begins to rationalize the eggs. He then proudly comes to the following conclusion. Yogurt and milk are good past their due dates and "yogurt and eggs are the same, right?" Therefore, the eggs must still be good.

Ah, Scott logic.

That's right folks...Scott apparently believes that milk products and eggs are the same. I would love to see the cows that live in his world...sitting on their little nests.

Week #1- Workout #2

First off-Many thanks to everyone for their kind (and somewhat embarrassing) comments on my hair. It was funny though, yesterday when I got to work no one noticed at first. After awhile people started to ask if I had done something to my hair! Duh! The even weirder thing was no one seemed to like it. I got a lot of very luke warm, "It's nice." Weird? The only person who seemed to genuinely like it was the nice stoner dude that writes our grants for us. Huh? Can't please everyone (or any theatre people, apparently).

Second-
I had to go to the gym early today because Erin and I are going to see a play tonight. So I got up at the crack of dawn (otherwise known as 7:30am) and drove to the gym. I had a good workout too. I like going in the mornings because there aren't as many people there.

Workout #2-Wednesday (8am)
---Elip.-Jog/Hill Incline 0-15/ 3.23 miles/ 40minutes/ Intensity 6
---Weights- Back/Stomach
Total= 1 hour

Week #1- Walk Day #1

Because of my early morning meetings on Tuesdays I can't go to the gym so I went for a thirty minute walk instead.

Week #1-Workout #1

I have set a goal to go to the gym 4 or more days a week for the next month. I am doing this for two reasons. One to help me get into a routine that will keep me going to the gym regularly beyond the month goal. Two to get me ready for the Ten Falls hike in July.

This hike is 8.7 miles long. It takes you up, over, behind and around ten waterfalls! It is part of the four day Grey School camping conclave. I want to make sure that I enjoy the trip as much as possible. Being in shape will be a BIG help.

So for the next four weeks I will be posting my workouts. I'm doing this so that I won't cheat or lose motivation to complete my goal. Wish me luck!

Week #1 Workout #1- Monday (5pm)
--Treadmill-Quick walk/ Hill Incline .0-3.8/2.15miles/ 40minutes/ Speed 2.5-3.8
--Weights- Chest/ Shoulders/ Arms
Total time= 1 hour

Goodbye Locks

I did it!
I cut 11 inches off of my hair to donate to Locks of Love.
My head feels so much lighter!

Shakespeare on Google

Google launches new Shakespeare site
Updated: 5:01 a.m. PT June 15, 2006

LOS ANGELES - "How beauteous mankind is!" For lovers of William Shakespeare, memorizing one of Hamlet's soliloquies or recalling whether "The Tempest" is a romance or a tragedy just got easier.
Web search leader Google Inc. Wednesday launched a site devoted entirely to the Bard that allows users to browse through the texts of his plays.
Users can even plug in words, such as "to be or not to be" from "Hamlet," and immediately be taken to that part of the play.

The site, which was introduced in conjunction with Google's sponsorship of New York's "Shakespeare in the Park," also provides links to related scholarly research, Internet groups, and even videos of theater performances of Shakespeare plays.
It also encourages users to "take a literary field trip" by searching for London's Shakespeare's Globe Theater on Google Earth, which combines satellite imagery, maps and a search engine to find historic locations around the world.
Google Book Search, the Google product which houses the Shakespeare site, allows users to view books or parts of books through their Web browsers if the copyright has expired or a publisher has given permission to do so.
The Shakespeare site provides links to available editions of each play, many of which users can then preview or buy, Google said.
