It's the last day of 2006...

I started the day off with an early morning gym workout. While I sweated away I watched the sun come up over the trees outside the window. A flock of Canadian geese were grazing in the field across the street.

The TV's above my head were competing to see who could be more depressing. One featured the last moments of Saddam Hussein while the other presented moments from Gerald Ford's funeral. The middle TV seemed oblivious of the woes of the world and happily played the trailer from the newest Rocky film.

As I huffed and puffed away I thought about all that had happened this year. This has been such a strange year for me.

I had a major job change. I found a long lost friend. I joined Grey School.

I feel grateful for the things that I gained but also a bit disheartend by the things I have lost or never seemed to be able to gain. I thought I would be in a much different position by the time 2006 rolled around but life seems to have different plans for me. But-I am hopeful for 2007.

Tonight as the year changes I will be thinking of my Mom & Lily, all of my friends in Texas, my new family (The Pez's) and of how lucky I am to be alive and to have the chance to bring in a new year. I will say prayers for those who are in need of healing and those who are gone from this earth. I will dream of the days to come and what they might have in store for us all.

2007 is going to be good I can just feel it.

So-To all of you, where ever you are, I am wishing you a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas from Portland

Our morning started off with a little coffee drinking, paper reading and poodle petting.

We were all still tired from the drive down but ready to have a great Christmas!!!! Posted by Picasa

Yay! Time for presents! Erin and Scott played Santa Pez... Posted by Picasa

A then we opened presents.....and opened...and opened...and........... Posted by Picasa

Last, but not least, Ernie opened his gift!

He really enjoyed the doggie treats and even tried to take a bit of Scott's finger off with it!! Posted by Picasa

It was time to eat a very yummy dinner!

Afterwards, stuffed and double stuffed, we sat around and watched a bit of the 24 hour marathon of A Christmas Story! Posted by Picasa

Later that night we went to visit Cousin Will!

We watched a movie and had a few laughs.

Then it was time for bed but...Scott decided to investigate a strange traffic backup.

So, I went to bed and Scott, Erin and a friend ended up singing Christmas carrols with a Christian group! Posted by Picasa

Today we got up to decorate cookies and hang out a bit. We didn't want to go home.

After breakfast Erin and I watched a movie while Scott talked to friends on the phone and... Posted by Picasa

The Moose and Ernie spent some quality time together too.

Then it was time to go.Posted by Picasa

Saying goodbye is always the worst part...that means the fun is over!

What a great holiday!! Posted by Picasa

Then I went to the gym to work out...
Snapped pictures in the parking lot...

Sweated a little..

Went to the grocery store...
Drove home...
Showered...

5k or bust...

So, I have once again declared that I will get in shape! My first step will be today with the first trip to the gym in two months!!

I have set two goals for myself in the coming year.

1. Do the St. Patrick's 5k in less than one hour.
2. Complete a half marathon in July.

I figure that these two events are pretty good motivation to get up off my butt.

Wish me luck!

Just checking in...

I don't have much to report right now...Things have been both very busy and very slow at the same time.

My main job has almost come to a halt since we don't have a show going on and folks don't seem to be too interested in buying tickets for next year just yet. My second job is busy since we are in our second week of a show and it's selling well.

I'm working hard at my classes for GSW so that I can complete my four before the Lumos Challenge is over.

My Yule gifts are all bought and under the tree.

I got my old scanner up and working and I am planning on scanning all of my old pictures. (Thus the pictures here.)

It's so windy right now that trees are falling over. It's rained so hard that part of the streets in Seattle are under water.

Scott just sneezed.

And that's about it for my exciting news right now.

(Check out my Venus Snowwoman! She was built in a field in Yosemite valley two years ago. A few hundred feet away we built Hurcules too. We also built a couple of X rated snow people which seemed to shock a passing group of tourists.) Posted by Picasa
